Research Intern
Qualification
Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Archaeology OR Masters Degree in any field allied to Cultural Heritage Conservation Practice and Research.
Skills
Excellent written and communication skills in English, familiarity with at least one other Indian language and ability to organise without continuous monitoring.
Ability to conduct independent research, and review/ edit works with a familiarity with research writing norms, citations etc.
Sound knowledge of softwares: MS Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (essential), Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator/ InDesign, etc.
Designing of posters, reports and other graphical media (desirable).
Willingness and openness to learn.
Responsibilities
Assist the Publication Unit in collecting the content, organising and formatting the publications.
Assist in the organisation of Lectures, Webinars and Seminars.
Assist the National Scientific Counsellor in collating and organising NSC objectives and activities.
Assist in communication with the membership of activities undertaken by ICOMOS India at the Zonal, NSC or Working Group levels.
Assist in management of events (meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences and other outreach programs) and rapporteur at them.
Assist in research activities at ICOMOS India (related to conservation and management of cultural heritage).
Develop systems to conduct surveys to support research activities, organisational functioning and subsequent interpretation of findings.
Assist in collating content, organizing and formatting publications, reports, and event records.
Assist in management of the online presence of ICOMOS India through social media and website with regular updates.
Assist in any other tasks assigned by the Executive Committee.
