IDMS EVENT 5: NORTH ZONE, SPA DELHI, POLITECNICO DI TORINO

Date: 18 Apr 2021 |

This year on the occasion of the International Day of Monuments & Sites (World Heritage Day), the Department of Architecture & Design, Politecnico di Torino & ICOMOS India North Zone are coming together to organise an online event in collaboration with the Department of Architectural Conservation and the Department of Housing, SPA, New Delhi.

The theme for the event is “Complex Pasts: Diverse Futures in historic urban contexts”. Historic cities and urban areas are the most represented types of heritage on the world heritage list. Conservation and management of these urban environments, with recent globalization, decentralisation, increasing needs and demands of local communities, needs an alternative approach to urban conservation and development. This webinar invites experts and other stakeholders from the field of conservation working in historic urban areas and world heritage cities to share their experiences, for promoting new discourses and alternative approaches to support inclusive and diverse point of views for this webinar.

Date & Time: 18th April, 2.30 PM - 5.30 PM IST
