ICOMOS India, Eastern Zone, in collaboration with the National Scientific Committee of Historic Towns and Villages and with support of the Emerging Professionals Working Group is hosting Series 2 of webinars on ‘Resilient and Sustainable Development of Historic Precincts and Areas: Focus West Bengal’ on October 1 and October 3, 2020, 5.00 pm to 7.30 pm. The inaugural webinars in August 2020 elucidated the concepts, frameworks, needs, and experiences of historic precincts and areas. The theme of the upcoming series is Heritage Economics, Legal Tools, and Management Mechanisms for Historic Precincts and Areas. Keynote speakers are Dr. Nikhil Joshi from the School of Design & Environment, NUS, Singapore on October 1 and Mr. Donovan Rypkema, President, Heritage Strategies International, Washington DC on October 3, 2020.
